Audible Review - Blood Kiss by J.R. Ward narrated by Jim Frangione

I'm a huge Black Dagger Brotherhood fanatic who never ties of these badder than bad, rap loving, smack talking, tougher than nails good guys. Not only is she re-visiting her brothers and their mates but now JR's gone and upped the ante with a brand new spin off series.
I hope you enjoy my review of the first in this new Black Dagger Legacy series.

Overview

The legacy of the Black Dagger Brotherhood continues in a spin-off series from the #1 New York Times bestselling author…
Paradise, blooded daughter of the king’s First Advisor, is ready to break free from the restrictive life of an aristocratic female. Her strategy? Join the Black Dagger Brotherhood’s training center program and learn to fight for herself, think for herself...be herself. It’s a good plan, until everything goes wrong. The schooling is unfathomably difficult, the other recruits feel more like enemies than allies, and it’s very clear that the Brother in charge, Butch O’Neal, a.k.a. theDhestroyer, is having serious problems in his own life.

And that’s before she falls in love with a fellow classmate. Craeg, a common civilian, is nothing her father would ever want for her, but everything she could ask for in a male. As an act of violence threatens to tear apart the entire program, and the erotic pull between them grows irresistible, Paradise is tested in ways she never anticipated—and left wondering whether she’s strong enough to claim her own power...on the field, and off.

My Review

Blood Kiss
JR Ward

Fans will gobble up Ward’s first in her new Black Dagger Legacy series, a spin off of her highly successful Black Dagger Brotherhood books. While keeping the scenery familiar she introduces readers to new profound and interesting stars and co-stars but keeps the intense rap loving warrior brothers and their mates close at hand. Her edgy signature dialogue is front and center as is her explicit R-rated sexual content. So if you're a fan of The BDB series this novel will definitely float your boat, if you like your novel on the edgy side don’t walk but run to get this one.

The Audible version has once again been put in the ultra smooth totally capable voice of Jim Frangione who’s knowledge of all things Brotherhood and Ward shine through and who’s deep, dark soulful voice give readers the Full Monty of enjoyment. His intonations of all the characters male and female, vampire, doggen and human are spot on and his Butch O’Neal Bronx persona Rocks!

Paradise daughter of the first advisor to the King whose family is a high ranking member of Vampire aristocracy, the Glymera doesn’t wants the chains of her confining life lifted and she’s found the perfect way when the Black Dagger Brotherhood opens a training school for young adults like herself that are including females. There’s a certain male that was inquiring about the school that she hopes enrolls too, that is if she can convince her father to let her.
Enacting revenge against the aristocrats who were responsible for his family’s death is what brings Graeg to the battle training the Brotherhood is offering. What he didn’t expect was to find friendship with the other pupils and a desire for one of the females, but nothing will deflect him from his objective.
Recruiting pupils and teaching them to fight is something that Butch O’Neal aka The Dhestroyer is good at. How to solve the personal problems he’s having with his beloved Shellan Marissa, not so much.
